The purpose of the study is to examine the influence of lower body flexibility on RSA and COD in normal healthy individuals.
This study is to examine the influence of lower body flexibility on sprint and agility in normal healthy individuals.
It is a pre-post test experimental design type of study with a sample size of 25 male individuals.
Karl Pearson's correlation coefficients were used to analyze the relationship between lower body flexibility on RSA and COD. The ICC P< 0.05 shows high correlation.
The results of the present study seems to agree that there is influence of lower body flexibility on sprint and agility performance.
Taylor Tollison, (2000) stated dynamic flexibility increases core temperature, muscle temperature, elongates the muscles, stimulates the nervous system and helps decrease the chance of injury.
Flexibility is the fundamental modality for common daily motor activity. Training for flexibility is widely recommended for those who wish to attain good fitness levels and the better quality of life.
Conclusion of the study is that there is a strong influence of flexibility on RSA and COD.
