To study the effect of core strengthening exercises along with conventional treatment on knee joint proprioception, balance and functional disability in patellofemoral osteoarthritis.
To assess the effect of core stability exercises and conventional treatment pre and post 4-week Knee Joint Proprioception, balance and Functional Disability in Patellofemoral Osteoarthritis and to compare their effects.
Study design is an Experimental study and was conducted in Physiotherapy Out Patient Department, with sample size of 30. Patients were divided into group A and group B. Group A treated with conventional treatment and group B treated with conventional and core stability exercises. Pre and post treatment parameters were checked.
Changes in mean scores of PROPRIOCEPTION, BALANCE and FUNCTIONAL DISABILITY were calculated between baseline and post 4 weeks of treatment. Paired and Unpaired t test for parametric and Wilcoxon and Man Whitney test for non-parametric data and p value of less than 0.005-significant were used.
Core stability exercises along with conventional treatment proved to be more effective in patellofemoral osteoarthritis.
