Abstract

To compare the effectiveness of mobilization with movement and end range mobilization along with conventional therapy for the treatment of frozen shoulder.

Experimental study design.

30 patients between the age group 40 yrs to 60 yrs were selected as per the inclusion and exclusion criterion.

By random sampling method the 30 subjects were divided into 2 equal groups with 15 patients each. Experimental group A received Hot Pack, Exercises, MWM. Experimental group B received Hot Pack, Exercises, ERM. The study was performed for 4 months. The treatment was given 6 days per week.once in a day for 12 weeks. Evaluation was done before starting the treatment and then after 4 months. Outcomes scores were evaluated using SPADI & ROM.

Experimental group A showed improvement in SPADI score 62.9% and ROM improved by 81.87 degree. The ERM group showed improvement in SPADI scores by 47.9% and 76.8 degree

The study found that both the treatment that is MWM and ERM are effective in the management of frozen shoulder but MWM is found to be slightly more effective.
