Abstract

To find effect of Customized Splint and Soft tissue mobilization Exercises in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

30 Subjects Diagnosed with CTS were screened and were divided into 2 group. i.e, Group A Subjects were given Customized Splint, Ultrasound and Exercises and Group B Subjects were given Soft tissue Mobilization, Ultrasound, Exercises. The interpretation of the study was done on the basis of Comparing pre-test and post-test assessment of VAS and FSS.

Within group comparison result, FSS and VAS were found to be statistically extremely significant in both the groups (p < 0.0001). Whereas between the group comparison result showed that group A was statistically significant in reducing FSS score (p = 0.01), VAS (on rest) score (p = 0.0008) and VAS (on activity) score (p = 0.016) than Group B.

It was concluded that group A and Group B showed significant reduction in FSS and VAS scores in Subjects with CTS. But from this Study Group A was found to be more effective than Group B.
