Abstract

To evaluate the effectiveness of TENS in reducing neuropathic pain in patients with Diabetic Neuropathy.

Prospective Experimental Study.

Participants and Outcome Measure: 20 Patients with a diagnosis of Diabetic Neuropathy were included in the study and they were explained regarding the treatment & its duration. Outcome measures were recorded before & after the treatment session using numerical pain rating scale.

After collecting data statistical analysis was done using Student's paired t test to determine the effect of TENS and it showed a significant difference in reduction in pain post treatment.

It can be concluded that High frequency TENS can be given to Diabetic Neuropathy patients for three weeks to achieve pain reduction.
