Abstract

The aim of this article was to review the role of physiotherapy in occupational health rehabilitation. The data was collected by reviewing published articles from Google scholar, PubMed, PubMed Central, Cinahl, BMJ Journals, BioMedCentral, Embase, PsycInfo, PEDro, Medline and the World Health Organisation databases. The literature was appraised according to the EVIDEM framework. This review has identified the multifactorial role of physiotherapy in occupational health rehabilitation and the associated legal implications and outcome measures for practice. Physiotherapists working in occupational health must incorporate this information in their work to enhance or promote their service.
