Exercises benefit patients with chronic low back pain; however, postural education also plays a crucial role in low back pain.
This study compared outcomes after Exercises & Postural education for low back pain.
This was a Pre test Post test randomized controlled trial on low back pain patients. The interventions in this study were stretching, strengthening exercises and postural education, administered by experienced Physical therapists & Occupational Therapist, thrice a week for 4 weeks. The outcome measures used in this study are Visual Analog Scale and Modified Oswestry low back Disability questionnaire
The post-intervention assessment showed significant differences among groups with respect to pain and functional abilities.
This study gave evidence that stretching exercises and strengthening exercises combined with postural education were superior to only exercises for chronic low back pain.
