Hand grip strength is the force applied by the hand to pull on or suspend from objects and is a specific part of hand strength. It is very useful in various professions where people must work with their hand, like physiotherapy. So this study was designed to evaluate dominant hand grip strength among physical therapists in comparison with non-physical therapists.

• To compare dominant hand grip strength in Physical therapists Vs non-physical therapists
Two groups, 50 physical therapists and 50 non-physical therapists, were enrolled for the study including both the genders, aged between 20–30 years, with normal BMI by convenient sampling method from Ahmedabad. Hand grip strength was evaluated and compared using SAEHANS HAND DYNAMOMETER.
Statistically analysis was done using student unpaired t-test between two groups. The results in this study shows that there is significant difference in dominant hand grip strength between physical therapists and non-physical therapists.
Physical therapists are having more grip strength in dominant hand compare to non-physical therapists in Ahmedabad.
