Abstract

Genetic variability, heritability genetic advance and corrlations were studied among eight growth parameter in mungbean. The maximum variability was observed for RGR followed by LAI and LAD. High heritability coupled with high to moderate expected genetic advance was recorded for LAD, RGR and NAR. Characters association indicated that RGR, LAD, NAR and TDM had significant positive association with seed yield. The importance of these physiological traits for increasing seed yield in mungbean was critically discussed.
