Abstract

The fruit of ber cv. Kaithli were harvested with and without pedicel attached, and stored at room temperature (25 ± 5°C). During the storage period, non-significant differences occurred in total soluble solids, acidity and ascorbic acid contents of fruits with and without pedicel. However, if stored longer than six days, fruits with attached pedicel had less weight loss and fruits did not ripen to the same extent.
