An experiment was conducted to study the effects of exchangeable sodium on the yield of seed, oil, sodium and potassium content in four cultivars of mustard (Brassica Juncea L.). The results showed that the seed and oil yield and oil content (%) were marginally increased at 15 ESP, but decreased at higher levels. Furthermore, sodium content enhanced while potassium content decreased at ESP levels of 20, 30 and 45. The Na: K ratio was lowest in cv. Varuna (Na tolerant) and highest in cv. KRV-11(Na sensitive).
