Influence of growth regulators on some productive parameters and oil content in sunflower (Helianthus annuus, L.)

Abstract

A field experiment conducted to study the influence of various growth regulators on three genotypes of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) showed that spraying of TIBA along with NAA resulted in highest head diameter (19.21 cm), number of filled seeds (1365/head), seed filling percentage (85.2%), seed yield (29.6 q/ha), test weight (63.3g) and seed density (0.546 g/cc) among all the growth regulator treatments. The treatments differed significantly for all the characters studied.
