Field experiment on sulphur fertilisation (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 kg ha−1) in mustard, cv. Pusa bold, indicated that chlorophyll, test weight and 100- siliqua weight increased significantly up to the level of 40 kg S ha−1. Similary, the oil yield, seed oil content, seed yield and seed allylisothiocyanate content increased markedly up to 50 kg S ha−l, however 40 kg and 50 kg S ha−1 were at par. Thus, the optimum level of S for yield maximisation would be 40 kg S ha−1 under the experimental conditions described.
