Abstract

The accumulation of dry matter and seed yield in winged bean (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus L. DC.) under different support and unsupport systems revealed that plants grown with 2 m support height produced highest dry matter and seed yield. There was a 6.85 times higher seed yield for support height of 2 m compared with unsupported plants. Seed yield was positively and significantly correlated with number of pods per plant, leaf dry matter (LDM) and total dry matter (TDM). Plants grown with 2 m support height gained significantly higher LDM (52%) at vegetative stages compared with other treatments.
