Abstract

Higher rate of transpiration increased the rate of absorption of K+ and plants with higher salts status revealed a gross net higher increase under such condition. However, the rates of increase were not proportional to either of the factqrs increased. Effects of these factors on K+ absorption and transport were discussed in relation to root ATPase activity of the plant.
