Abstract

The cytokinin, Furfuryl aminopurine (FAP) had two phases of action on growth and enzymes viz., α-amylase, peroxidase, IAA oxidase, and polyphenel oxidase. The anxin in fenugreek seedlings probably participated in growth and α-amylase activity and cytokinins could act through auxin metabolism. The isoperoxidases A5 and A7 appeared with greater intensities and were most effective IAA oxidases and FAP enhanced their activity. The possible role of cytokinin in growth and enzyme activity is discussed here.
