Indole-3-acetic add (0.05-1 ppm) and gibberellic acid (10-100 ppm) were applied singly and in combination to study their individual as well as combined effects on the expansion growth of disks obtained from etiolated leaves of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris Linn, cv. Sutton’s Premier). Both the compounds stimulated growth, but the stimulation elicited by GA3 was much higher than IAA. The combined effect manifested in synergism.
