Changes in physiological loss in weigh, berry drop and decay and TSS content of grape berries treated with alar and cycocel were followed during storage at low temperature (0-1° C and 85-95% RH) conditions. The study pointed out that on the whole, total wastage of Pusa Seedless grape berries during cold storage was found to be significantly less in treated berries as compared to control. This effect was more marked in berries treated with 1000 ppm cycocel. Importance of growth retardants in prolonging the storage life of grapes has been emphasized.
