NaCl salinity treatment has caused alterations in the stomatal characteristics and behaviour in groundnut plants. Salinity treatment resulted in a change of per cent distribution of stomatal types, stomatal frequency and index. The stomatal rhythm was altered, pore width having remained maximum during early hours of the day as against later hours in the control plants.
