Abstract

An experiment conducted in screen-house using 4 levels each of Mo and Fe, viz., 0, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 ppm and 0, 10, 20 and 40 ppm, respectively, revealed, that in paddy, Cu content and uptake in stems and roots decreased, while in leaves increased with Mo application. Iron application decreased Cu content in stems and leaves but increased in roots. Both Mo and Fe antagonised Cu. Application of Mo and Fe decreased Mn content and uptake in stems and leaves. Manganese in roots increased with varying levels of Mo at 40 ppm Fe. Zinc concentration and uptake increased Mo whereas Fe decreased it. In roots both Mo and Fe application decreased Zn concentration.
