IAA oxidase and catalase activites were determined in three rice genotypes, KR3-86, N22 and Jaya. K R3-86 is the progeny of the latter two varieties. IAA oxidase showed a decrease in activity whereas activity of catalase increased with increasing concentration of GA, in all the three varieties. Maximum IAA oxidase activity was recorded in K.R.3-86 followed by N22 and Jaya and reverse was the trend in catalase irrespective of the treatments and duration.
