A field experiment was conducted at Aligarh in 1981 on summer moong (Vigna radiata var. T-44) to study the effect of four levels of nitrogen (0, 10, 20, 30 kg/ha) and phosphorus (0, 30, 45, 60 kg P2O5/ha) as urea and superphosphate respectively on five yield parameters, namely pod numder and length, seed number, 1,000 seed weight and seed yield, in a factorial randomised block design. At harvest, it was noted that, 20 kg N and 60 kg P2O5/ha, separately as well as in combination, proved optimum for most of the yield characteristics.
