Abstract

In an attempt to evaluate the effect of GA3 induced growth of certain wheat cultivars, it was revealed that the cultivars showed a differential behaviour to applied GA3. Cultivars C-306, Sonalika and Kalyan Sona responded signiiicanty at all GA3 levels (0.1, 1, 10 and 25 ppm) while three gene dwraf Moti failed to express any response. A significant increase in alpha-amylase activity at every Level of GA3 was apparent for all the cultivars, however, protease activity remained practically unaffected in three gene dwarf cultivar Moti.
