Summary The correlation between praline accumulation and seed yield under the moisture stress condition was studied in twentyfive sunflower genotypes. The correlation coefficient between the proline content and per cent reduction in seed yield was found positive (r=0.43), thus indicating a negative relationship between the seed yield and proline accumulation under moisture stress condition.
