Two varieties of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) viz., H-14 and H-650 wera sown thrice at 45-day interval starting from 1st March, in pot culture to study the trend of bud and boli production/shedding. The flower bud initiation was hastened with the delay of sowing. Flower bud production appeared in two major flushes in first sowing time, while only one major peak in second and third sowing time. The flower bud shedding took place in only one major flush in all the sowing times (14th, 4th and 3rd week after first flower bud initiation in first, second and third sowing time, respectively). The flower/boll production was observed in three distinct flushes in first sowing time, one in the second sowing time and none in third sowing time. The pattern of the shedding of flower/boll fallowed the trend similar to their production.
