Abstract

Long glumed genotypes of finger pillet showed a high rate of 14CO2 fixation both at anthesis and later stages of ear development over norma glumed genotypes. A high rate of ear photosynthesis might possibly be the reason of their high grain size-a factor for higher grain yield of long glumed types.
