Abstract

Shoot buds and roots were observed in calli obtained from eotyledo-nary leaf and epieotylarry segments of L. leueoeephala L. Callusing and differentiation of plants were achieved on a modified MS medium fortified with auxins like 2, 4-D or IAA individually and also in different combinations with KN, CW and CH. BAP alone induced multiple shoot formation unaccompanied by rooting. Rooting of these shoot buds could be induced by transferring them to the rooting medium. Thus Subabul tissue culture could be raised successfully and organogenesis in the form of shoot buds and roots could be manipulated with ease.
