Abstract

Photorespiratory activity in the leaves of two sunflower genotypes was measured on the basis of glycolate oxidase and catalase activities. The activity of both the enzymes was found to be comparatively higher throughout the growth period in Orange Red, a low yielding genotype as compared to EC 68413 a comparatively better yielder, at post flowering and particularly at the time of seed filling.
