Abstract

Phenology, biomass accumulation and ambient temperature relationships were studied in eight genotypes of Barley raised during 1980–81 and 1982–83 rabi seasons on the sandy loam soils of Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. These are expressed through ‘pbeno-Ihsrmal index’ and ‘heat use efficiency’. In four genotypes heat use efficiency was computed and found to be in phase with crop growth rates.
