Abstract

Seedings of salt tolerant and sensitive cultivars of wheat species were subjected to NaCl stress. Differences in the Na and K uptake in these two types of species was obtained. It has been suggested that the uptake and transport properties associated with tolerance may be useful for genetic manipulation for salt tolerance.
