Plants treated with B-nine exhibited a marked reduction in shoot elongation. Flowering and maturity of pods were delayed considerably. Grain yield and 1000 grain weight were increased significantly in 2500 ppm treated plants as compared to control. Harvest index was also higher in this treatment. Crude protein, carbohydrates, starch and ether extract were accumulated more in seeds when sprayed with B-nine but gum content decreased with increase in concentration.
