Four varieties of mungbean viz., PS-16, LGG-127, PBM and PIMS-3 were grown in summer (March) and Kharif (July) seasons to assess the physiological traits for yield differentiation and to predict the seasonal conditions which help in maximising seed production. The results indicated that the values of CGR, RGR, NAR, LAI, LAR, LWR, SLW and HI were more in all the varieties grown during summer as compared to Kharif. Among the varieties, PBM and PIMS-3 yielded more during both the seasons as compared to PS-16 and LGG-127. There was 50–80% increase-in yield during summer season.
