Physiology of seed development in Urdbean
Abstract
Embryo of legume seeds attains physiological maturity much before the pods become fully mature. Studies on the physiology of seed developm ent in V. mungo at different days after anthesis have been initiated with a view to understand the role of starch accumulation in embryo development and in increase in seed dry weight in this crop.
