A high Growth Light Regime (GLR) which induced higher crop load has been found to affect the normal partitioning of the available photosynthates in grapes. The resulting dry matter deficiency among the developing sinks has adversely affected the normal development of about 50% of the berries leading to the incidence of uneven ripening in this variety.
