Cycocel, maleic hydrazide and gibberellic acid were applied singly in various concentrations to study their individual as well as combined effects on the elongation of coleoptile of Oat (Avena sativa L.). Maleic hydrazide and cycoel both affected the early seedling growth adversely, While all the concentrations of gibberellic acid (GA3) were observed promotary with 100 ppm as supra optimal. High concentrations (100 ppm) of GA3 alleviated the antagonistic effect of either inhibitors, MH and CCC induced inhibition, exhibited their synergistic and antagonistic nature.
