Abstract

Investigations indicate that longer exposure of UV radiation inhibit the chlorophyll development in excised cotyledonary leaves of C. utillissimus Roxb. Cv. Jaunpuri. Growth regulators viz. GA3 and KN counteract this effect and also enhance the development of different chlorophyll pigments significantly. KN; was found to be more effective than GA3 in alleviating the adverse effect of UV on chlorophyll pigments.
