Kidney been seedlings were exposed to 2.0 and 5.05.0 kR X-ray. The primary leaves of irradiated plants were larger size and fresh weight. There was reduction in trifoliate leaves after 2kR exposure and complete cessation of growth after 5kR. Radiation exposure induced marked increase in chlorophyll level of the primary leaves. The stimulation was dose dependent. The onset of senescesce in primary leaf was delayed in irradiated leaves. In the trifoliate leaves, radiation exposure brought about reduction in chlorophyll contept.
