Effect of gibberellic acid on dormancy, flowering, bulb and seed production in bellary onion (Allium cepa L.)

In bellary onion cv. Rampur local, soaking seeds with gibberellic acid, 100 ppm for 3 hrs was found to break the dormancy which improved the germ inability, vigour and the emergence of the seedling in the nursery. It did not influence the bulb and seed yields, but significantly increased flowering.
