In Crotalaria juncea, UV-B radiation caused a reduction in dry matter yield (45 to 60%), total nitrogen content (35 to 70%) and soluble proteins (15 to 20%) and an enhancement in in vivo nitrate reductase activity and anthocyanin accumulation. Potassium cyanide induced inhibition of in vivo nitrate reductase activity was alleviated by IIV-B radiation.
