Abstract

Reduced light intensity before cutting appreciably reduced regeneration of ratooned rice. Only 19% of the plants regenerated under 60% shading during ripening phase of the main crop. The regeneration was also slightly reduced under 60% shading after main crop cutting. Low light intensity before and after main crop cutting decreased ratoon grain yield through increased missing hills in the ratoon crop
