The light utilization efficiency (LUE), intercepted photosynthetically active radiation (IPAR), leaf area index (LAI), specific leaf weight (SLW), net assimilation rate (NAR) and dry matter yield (DMY) were evaluated in 10 genotypes of Cenehrus ciliaris and 7 genotypes of Cenehrus setigerus under rainfed condition of Jhansi. Significantly high positive relationship has been found between DMY and IPAR, LAI and LUE. The SLW was positively correlated with NAR. IGFRI-3108 and 678 of C. ciliaris and IGFRI-76 and 77 of C. setigerus having high LAI and LUE are promising genotypes for higher productivity.
