Spraying of water on foliage during warm, sunny mid-day hours improved leaf water status, decreased stomatal resistance, restored normal photosynthetic rate and lowered canopy temperature in potato. No significant osmotic adjustment was observed in cultivars Kufri Chandramukhi and Kufri Sindhuri.
