Remarkable heterosis in D x T hybrid seedlings over female parent was observed for seedling height, leaf area, dry matter production, uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus, iron and chlorophyll a and b. However, heterosis was not noticeable in nitrogen, phosphorus, and iron utilization efficiency.
