Inhibition of peroxidase during germination of Arachis hypogaea by combined salinities of NaCl and CaCl₂

Seeds of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea Co I) were germinated in presence of NaCl and CaCl₂ separately and also in a mixture containing both of these substances. Peroxidase activity in Cotyledon was determined to study the effect of salinity. CaCl₂ proved to be more harmful than NaCl while the mixture of both NaCl and CaCl₂ showed an intermediate response.
