Abstract

Seeds of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea Co I) were germinated in presence of NaCl and CaCl2 separately and also in a mixture containing both of these substances. Peroxidase activity in Cotyledon was determined to study the effect of salinity. CaCl2 proved to be more harmful than NaCl while the mixture of both NaCl and CaCl2 showed an intermediate response.
