Abstract

The foliar application of different phenolic compounds viz. salicylic acid, resorcinol and tannic acid, on Vigna mungo plants at IS and 65 DAS, suppressed peroxidase and acid phosphatase activities whereas IAA oxidase activity fluctuated during different developmental stages in fruit wall. However, in developing seeds the phenolics application retarded peroxidase and IAA oxidase activities but enhanced acid phosphatase activity.
