Effects of hydration-dehydration on viability and storability of tomato and radish seeds were investigated. Seeds were subjected to accelerated ageing (40°C, 90% RH for 48 hours) for the relative evaluation of seed storability. Presoaking of seeds with water followed by drying showed greater germinability of seeds and vigour than unsoaked seeds in both the crops daring accelerated ageing. Hydration-dehydration of seeds during mid-storage was effective for enhancing seed storability in tomato and radish.
