Abstract

A field experiment was conducted with mung (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek). Four levels of bacterial inoculation (Rhimbtum, Rhizobium + Azotobacter chroococcum, Rhizobium + Azospirillum brasilense) and two levels of phosphorus application (13 and 26 kg P/ha) were tested. The results indicated that association of A. chrooccoccum with Rhizabium was better than Rhizobium alone or in combination with A. brasilense in respect of dry matter yield of various plant components at different stages of growth, Phosphorus application upto 26 kg P/ha significantly increased the dry matter yield of individual plant components at 35 and 50 days after sowing and at harvest.
