Abstract

Total chlorophyll, carbohydrate and protein contents were significantly more in malformed panicles of mango with a slow rate of respiration than healthy panicles. Morphactin induced malformed panicles tended to result in a comparable level of biochemical constituents to that of naturally malformed panicles.
