Free amino acid composition in fruit of two mango cultivars during maturation and ripening

Noticeable differences in free amino acid contents were seen in fruits of two cultivars (Zardalu and Fazli) of mango at all the stages of fruit development. Under kinetin treatment some of the amino acids were non-detectable while those absent under control, became apparent Appearance of different amino acids under cycloheximide treatment showed their non-utilisation in protein synthesis.
