Abstract

Patch bud grafts placed under different light intensities showed no significant differences in sprouting and survival. However, highest sprouting, survival and the growth were observed in the bud grafts kept in glass house followed by open sunlight and partial and complete shades. The retention of the leaves on the rootstoeks did not influence the percentage of sprout survival and growth parameters. Single polythene strip was recommended for tying the bud grafts as it was found economical as compared to the double polythene strip.
